2008 Shout It Out $1,000
All high school seniors are eligible to apply. This scholarship requires a 250 word essay. The topic is, “If you were given a 60 second commercial spot on TV that would air repeatedly during the presidential debates, what message would you shout out to America. Due Date 10/06/08 
U.S. Senate Youth Program $5,000
Any high school junior or senior student is eligible for the program, provided he or she has not previously been a delegate to the program, and is currently serving in an elected capacity in any of the following student government, civic, or educational organizations: student body president, vice-president, secretary, or treasurer,  class president, vice president, secretary, or treasurer, student council representative, student representative to a district, regional, or state-level civic educational organization. http://www.flrea.org/programs/ussyp.htm

Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation  
Must have strong academic achievement, school and community involvement, and have demonstrated leadership.  Paper applications are available. Apply on-line. www.coca-colascholars.org
