MAJOR's NEWS

MSgt Garthwaite and I welcome over 90 cadets back to our program.  We are extremely excited to start a new year.  Our program has a tremendous amount of promise.  We started off the new school year by performing 4 color guards this summer, including the Coke Zero 400 NASCAR race.  We also had 16 cadets attend summer leadership schools (SLS).   We have a multitude of activities planned this year to include:  at least 8 field trips; 6 drill meets; numerous community and school color guards; adopt-a-highway service project;  JROTC clubs—PT,  Rocket Club, and Awareness Presentation Team;  field competition drill and color guard teams; and prepare for 2009 leadership schools.   Once again, welcome back, we look forward to an exciting year.
