Mainland Graduates Excel!
Without question our primary mission as a school is to provide our students with a solid education and at the core of that education is our academic program. Mainland consistently turns out classes of outstanding scholars, the majority of which go on to pursue additional education. While we are proud that many Mainland athletes, musicians and auxiliaries obtain scholarships every year, the vast majority of the scholarships obtained annually are for academic achievement. Our graduates have received millions of dollars worth of scholarships to attend many of the finest colleges and universities in the nation.

Our new campus is one of the finest in the nation and our academic offerings are leading edge. In addition to the regular core courses Mainland attracts students from all over Volusia County to attend our Academy of Communications & Multimedia Technology, Academy of Design & Manufacturing, Academy of Scientific Inquiry, and our Academy of Sports Medicine. Advanced Placement and Honors courses also exist in virtually all major subjects to provide our students with every opportunity to be ready for an easy transition into their college courses.

Mainland helps students and faculty with their research by providing a well equipped Media Center that has over 15,000 books, numerous research computers and two computer labs for class activities. There are also numerous other computer labs around campus supporting classroom subjects and independent study. At this time there are over 1000 networked computers at Mainland equipped with some of the best educational and support software available. Mainland also has complete Television Production facilities and classes teaching both analog and digital production and post-production.

So, Mainland is justifiably proud of our Program of Studies that gives students at all grade levels and ability levels a broad choice of classes and special programs that start with the fundamentals and build upward to prepare them for a bright future.
